About UXExchange - Q&A Site for UX Professionals

About UX Exchange

UX Exchange is a User Experience (UX) Q & A site. You can register if you want to collect reputation points and win valuable flair that will appear next to your name, but otherwise, it's just free to post and answer questions.

Purpose of UXExchange

The goal is to build a community lead, authoritative resource on the User Experience disciplines:

  • A place where people new to our industry can ask questions about best practice and approaches to user experience.
  • A place where experienced practitioners can help teach new skill and learn from each other.

Like Stack Overflow (the platform this site is build on) We don't run UX Exchange, the community does, it is collaboratively built and maintained by them.

  • If you like a question or answer up vote it
  • If you don't down vote it

UX Exchange will become increasingly more valuable when there is a consensus on good information. Which will serve the community for the future.

Reputation

Once the system and the community (through reputation points) learns to trust you, you'll be able to edit anything, much like Wikipedia. With your help, we can build good answers to every imaginable UX related question together. No matter whether you specialise in:

  • Usability Accessibility
  • Information Architecture
  • Interaction design
  • Accessibility

A collaborative better informed user experience community is our goal.

So please join us by asking a question, (any question all we ask is that it's UX related) or by providing an answer to one and soon you can play your part in building our world wide community. I for one will look forward to seeing you there :)
